These are the child safety standards of PhireAso — the Android app "ফিরে আসো-নিখোঁজ ও রক্ত সহায়তা" (PhireAso) on Google Play and the website phireaso.com. PhireAso has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
1. Zero tolerance
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) are strictly forbidden on PhireAso. Anyone who posts, shares, asks for or links to such material, or uses PhireAso to harm a child in any way, is removed and reported to the authorities.
2. What is not allowed
- Any image, video, text or link that sexualises a child (anyone under 18), including drawn, edited or AI-made material.
- Grooming: contacting or trying to contact a child to build trust for sexual or other abuse.
- Sextortion, threats, or asking a child for images or personal details.
- Child trafficking, or offering or seeking children for any exploitative purpose.
- Using a missing-child notice, a phone number or any information on PhireAso to find, follow, contact or harm a child.
- Posting a child's photo or details without being the child's parent, guardian or family, or having their permission.
3. Notices about missing children
PhireAso exists to help families find missing people, including children. To keep children safe:
- Only a parent, guardian or family member (or someone acting with their permission) may post a notice about a missing child.
- Every notice is reviewed by our moderators before it is published. Notices that look false, unsafe or not made in the child's interest are rejected.
- The contact number on a notice must be the family's or guardian's number, never the child's.
- Notices are removed when the child is found, or at any time on the family's request.
4. How we prevent abuse
- Human review of notices before they go public.
- No private chat or direct messaging between users — people cannot privately contact a child through PhireAso.
- The app is intended for users aged 18 and over.
- Photos are checked, resized and re-encoded before they are stored.
- Reports from users are reviewed by moderators, and harmful content is removed.
- Devices and phone numbers that break these standards are blocked.
5. How to report a child safety concern
Inside the app: use the Report button on any notice, blood request or donor profile and choose a reason — you do not need to leave the app or have an account.
By email: write to support@phireaso.com with the notice code (for example AB12CD34) or a description of the concern.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 (Bangladesh national emergency service) or contact the nearest police station first.
6. What we do with a report
- We review child safety reports with priority and remove violating content as quickly as possible.
- We block the device and phone number used to post it.
- When we become aware of CSAM, we report it to the relevant national and regional authorities, including Bangladesh Police, and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable, and we keep the related records as the law requires.
- We cooperate with law-enforcement requests made under the law.
7. Compliance
PhireAso complies with the child-protection laws of Bangladesh, with the laws of other countries where it is available, and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
8. Child safety contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety and CSAM prevention can be reached at support@phireaso.com. We reply to child safety messages as a priority.
